We have just bought a new house that is full of wall paper and the first room to tackle will be the kitchen. However, we cannot decide on a color that we feel matches the cabinets and countertops.

We would love your in put on any room in the house, but specifically the kitchen!

    Thanks for your help!

Congratulations on your new, beautiful home! Your kitchen looks like oak from the photos. I've always thought that light colours go well with oak. Some kind of cream or very pale pastels maybe? What sort of tops have you got on there? Is there a colour that you would like on them?

    Hi!

Gorgeous house. I have the same kind of cabinets in my kitchen and went with a pale pink on 3 walls and a strong accent color (watermelon red) on one wall. That accent wall allows me to use some stronger color in my appliances and tile.

    Hope this helps!

What a pretty home! I don't envy you having to take down all that wallpaper though... The woodwork in your home is beautiful and warm. If I were picking a color, I'd go with a color that is no darker than the lightest tone in the wood and on the warm side to highlight the warmth of the wood -- buttery yellow, juicy peach or a light coral... maybe? I love the exterior too.

wow what a beautiful home,I think I will sell up and come and live in the usa, I cant believe the fantastic price for such a lovely home. Anyway on to the kitchen yes the wallpaper is too overpowering in that room,I would say a pale cream background with beautiful bright tiles around the worksurfaces walls to add a shot of colour good luck.
