Those are beautiful, I imagine your children and grandchildren will enjoy those for many more years.
My youngest daughter a play table her dad built for her when she was two, used for holding computer things now...but I guess you could say it is still being used as a 'play table' And the step stool he built so she could reach the reach the bathroom faucet is still being used by all of us as a step stool and was used by our grandsons to reach the bathroom faucet too.
Handmade things just seem to last longer than some store bought things.

Your stuff is lovely, you're a talented man. I really like that cradle, and wish my grandfather had been able to make something like that for us. The table and benches look comfortable, and I enjoy the details in your other work.

Thanks Droopy, I was recycling when it wasn't cool. Most of what I made when my girls were little was because we did not have the money to go buy it from the store. Now I do it because I like to collect junk

You do beautiful work. Those objects will be great heirlooms to your family. Still working with copper tubing?

I have not been doing anything new with copper lately. Copper prices just keep getting higher and I need to sell some of what I have already built first. I have been spending most of my time outside trying to get all my shrubbery trimmed and flowers planted. I must have been feeling really good when I planted all my shrubs because I have been trimming for two days solid

Your eye for detail is really evident in your wood pieces and your yard and shrubs as well. It all looks great. I'd love to be able to sit and relax in that pretty backyard of yours (I'll bet you'd like to relax there too after two days of trimming!). Anyway, the woodwork pieces -- I'm in love with the doll cradle/rocking chair (adorable) and the cradle you built for your daughter.

Thanks daisybeans, the pool is getting warm, the hot tub is hot, the barbecue grill is clean, the biggest part of the yard work is almost done. I am ready for a day in the pool, an afternoon setting on the porch, a big steak on the grill, a couple bottles of my favorite Apple Barn wine, and a night of sitting in the hot tub relaxing. My wife and I will be celebrating our 29Th anniversary this weekend, so I am looking forward to the weekend.

I love all your woodwork GDC, especially the cradle. Your yard looks wonderful too. Nothing left to do now but sit back and enjoy!

You're not only talented in working with copper but with wood too. You have magic in your hands and a real 'feel' for the materials you work with.
After all that work in your garden I think you deserve a well earned leisure day by the pool. Enjoy.

Lovely, just lovely. Wood is so very tactile, we love it! Those shelves would look great in any childs room.
