I have been trying to make my father-in-laws yard look nice and some kind of order to it. I have to take it in bits and pieces. There is just so much. I decided to work on and area that is the flag pole. I wanted to get it looking nice so when he put the flag up for our National Day, it didn't look like a pile of weeds. So this is what i started out with.
Very sickly looking.
One and a half days and 2 wheel barrows later, tons of used coffee grinds dug in and then more layed on top and watered, I am pleased with the results. I just need some mulch now is all.
Here are a few others blooming around our homes.
Panseys
Tulips are still in season
This plant that Droopy identified that gets the little apples on it.
The lilacs are in bloom but i have to retake a pic of that. lots of plants and bushes have little buds on them so won't belong until i ask for identifing,,lol.
So there you have it, i am as busy as the bees around here,,,and loving every minute of it.

What a wonderful difference around the flagpole.
For a forager you are certainly becoming a good gardener too.

I say keep up the good work. In the end it is probably going to be worth it. I want to see the "after" photos.

Its beautiful, what a gorgous rhododendron. The other flowers are looking fantastic too. If this is the start, can't wait to see the final!
