I can smell them!
Where I live is fondly nicknamed "Lilac Downs". Everywhere you look, there is Lilacs in abundance.
All the Lilacs are in bloom so the air is sweetly scented. Even my place where I have a wall of purple lilacs at the back of our property and a few lilac bushes scattered along the sides and front of the property.
Your pictures are gorgeous. Nice photography!

I know what you mean Netty. Our trees aren't as full as yours but the blooms should be opening soon. They smell so heavenly. Your trees are so pretty with blooms all the way to the ground too.

There's just nothing like the sweet scent of lilacs in a garden is there? Wonderful photographs Netty especially the fourth one.

I love lilacs but alas there are none here. We had some when we lived in Wisconsin though and one in Arizona that never bloomed because it got too hot before the buds developed and they died. dooley

These Lilac's are ancient...you can see the stumps where someone has cut it down. I assume they were put in when the house was built in 1935. Every spring when they are done blooming I painstakingly cut off every single spent bloom.

Wow!! Those are beautiful and so full. I have a lilac tree here and its in full bloom also, and the best part is bringing some into the house and setting around in vases. I love that smell.
I seen a white lilac tree for the first time today. wonder if they smell just as strong and nice.

At work we have a white Lilac as well as a dark purple and they both smell just as heavenly Biita. I must remember to take my camera and get shots of those tomorrow.
