Hi Every body I have a Croton plant Its doing really good , But when I got it, it was a beautiful red and dark green almost black, But now it has about 20 new leaves on it they are all bright green, I wonder why they aren't the red and dark green to like the rest of them?Does anyone know anything about them?

    Thank you Margie

All I know is that it needs a lot of light but not direct sunlight.

Maybe the young leaves will come out green and change colour as they mature?

Most crotons do change colour as they mature (with new leaves coming in glossy true green), but yes, they do need strong light to maintain their flashy highlights - or else the leaves will mature to green with flimsy yellow or cream variegation, if any.
