it's a bush with red flowers that have a red, fuzzy stigma like a baby caterpillar and only one petal and
the leaves are kind of shaped like eyes

I have absolutely no idea what the heck this thing is and I need to know so I can prune it properly and promote new growth (half of it looks dead) Neutral

Any ideas?

edit: drew a picture of what the flower on the bush looked like due to my lack of a camera.

hehehe... i thought of anthurium... as it has only one "red petal"... but well... leaves don't look like eyes.
