    Hi
my impatiens which i planted in the ground this year were doing good. Now today I see that the flowers have been eaten. We have a lot of small ants around the building.
Also they put in black mulch yesterday. Would there by anything in the mulch to cause this?? Help??

Check around for snails and slugs. They like to hide in the shade on the side of walls or on the underside of flowers or even on the ground.

Check the bark mulch  I'd never seen a slug in our climate until I bought a house with bark mulch landscaping  I think they like it because it's damp and shaded.
