The rhubarb is a family heirloom, transplanted from one house to the next over the years. The planter appears to have been a children's sandbox by one of the former homeowners.

I wish I could grown decent rhubarb at this house. I have always had it but it just doesn't get that big...The stalks are just not very big...We moved in 2005 and brought it with us and our 3 clusters just don't yield that much. I was about to dig them out and then they got better than they were so I left them but still not big enough. It gets afternoon sun .One of them is the strawberry variety and I am not sure what the other ones are. It has been so long since I purchased those.

No-one around here likes Rhubarb except me which is unfortunate because I have plenty to share.

I love those rhubarb stepping stones. How did you make them?
It looks like several of us are having a bumper crop of rhubarb this year. I still have some in the freezer from last summer. I usually make muffins out of them.

Nice stepping stones and birdbath Chelsea! I saved an old cement birdbath pedestal and want to make a Rhubarb leaf top. I haven't had the time, but hopefully soon.
