Now I know this isn't what you'd usually expect to see. BUT this is what we went with. We've not planted anything in here yet. What we have noticed is the weeds and the wild violets that are growing in there are growing very good and large too. So when we do plant our veges we're hoping things will do good because of the heat from the canvas. There is a double door and 2 windows at the end for ventilation and will be a door and 2 more windows going in at the front. First here's last years view:
under construction ( photo / image / picture from petunia's Garden )
now for the new-still under construction.

here's another picture of the inside from the back looking to the front.

I'm not sure yet how the blue canvas will work but there seems to be sun coming thru the canvas as you can see from inside. One can tell the differance from the sun and the shade.
Hubby is currently working on the rototil so we can work up the ground. With any luck we should be planting by tomorrow or Saturday.
I did plant some flowers on both sides of the front wall.

right side flowers ( photo / image / picture from petunia's Garden )
This next one are my blueberry bushes That I have yet to plant.

So there you have it-My hillbilly greenhouse. It'll be experimental for this year and we'll see how it does. I'll keep updated post ongoing.

Oh I'd have a field day if I owned a greenhouse that size. I'd have different sections for veggies, fruit and flowers and a nice place to sit and watch everything grow. It certainly makes my little 8'x6' one look like a dolls house.

Thyat greenhouse is coming along quite well, isn't it? It's exciting getting to be almost ready to break the ground in there and to condition the soil and get things planted. I know that you just can't wait.
I'm wishing you lots of luck with it...it should add a real dimention to what all you can do there.
Congratulations to you two on a job well done.

Oh I'd love to have a hoop house that size! (Or any size for that matter!! LOL)
I'm curious how well that will stand up to the wind...we get a lot of strong winds here thanks to the lack of trees.
That would be a lot of money to put out to have the wind bring it down.
