Anyone know what to do with this? Cut if off or leave it.

I got my plant from Home Depot a couple months ago and it had taken a beaten. Didn't do well coming home in my cold car, either. Several leaves were bent, broken and a mess so I just started cutting them off. I have gotten at least a dozen new leaves in this short time and now this pod.

I'd leave it alone and gather the seeds from it when they are ready. You can always give them away if you don't want to keep them for yourself.

Whatever you do with it, just know that the plant is poisonous! Shocked

Yes, I have read it's poisonous and mostly that pod. So, does this mean I can grow new plants from this seed pod? I will give it a go and see what happens.

Thanks

Be sure to leave the pod on the plant long enough for the seeds to ripen otherwise they will not germinate.

Whooops.

What do you mean by germinate? The seeds can be planted for new plants?

I've read a new stem will grow under the pod but I see no signs of that happening yet.

I have done some reading up on your plant, that isn't a seed pod it is the flower. Next time it forms one of those don't cut it off, just leave it to bloom and die off.

Evidently the plant doesn't viable produce seed so the only propagation techniques are by stem cutting or air layering.

Germination is the process of a seed sprouting roots and creating a new plant.

Thank you Toni. Appreciate your response.

And one day later:

Another flower, yet again. Three in 2 weeks.
