I took a couple of shots of some rhubarb that was growing at the side of the road in downtown Skagway. I guess it gets so big because of the extended daylight hours during growing season. I'm wondering if its just up for grabs for anyone in town who's wanting a rhubarb crisp for dessert.

I'm just about to pick my second batch of rhubarb this year but it not as big as the plants in your photographs that's for sure. I'm going to make a rhubarb crumble and maybe a pot or two of jam as well. Very Happy

The plants are gorgeous, too! Haven't eaten any rhubarb since my Dad moved across the continent. He likes rhubarb and tapioca. He never fixed himself a dessert, but if I cooked it he happily ate it up.

Oho, those were big! Shocked I hope they are put to use and not just there for ornamental reasons.
