I planted bee balm two years ago... it's attracting many bees to my yard - yay! Here is some growing near the tiger lillies. I like the hot pink and orange color combo.

You're so right, it is a lovely, hot combination. I like the Monarda plants. They're tall, smell good, bloom for a long time and are trouble-free. An ideal plant, really.

I love the color of your Bee Balm. Please, what's the name. The combination in the photo is dynamite!

mine aren't ready to bloom yet, but I sure like the way it spreads. I was given a few last year. 1 spread into 4 this year and the other spread into 6 plants this year. Your colors are nice-orange & red what a great combo.

DB that is a beautiful combination of colors.
Glenda, I hate that you just said the Texas heat will kill it. I was thinking of having it next year!

Lovely combination! I think that the color orange is becoming more acceptable to folks now, as I'm seeing it more and more in perennial beds. I love it!!!

Thanks for the comments, guys. I was pleased at how the back bed looked this year -- kind of wild masses. The color combo was more of a happy accident but thanks for the vote of confidence, Sjoerd. When I put it there, I think I was looking at plant shape and scale and hoping to attract bees and stuff.
I'm so sorry Gardengater... I dont' know the name other than bee balm... I'm trying to get better at keeping names organized. If I find the tag, I'll let you know.
