Hi, I spootted this in my garden yesterday afternoon. I think it is a moth but not too sure. Would love to know which if anybody can help.

It is a moth, maybe Asura polyspila or Asura lydia.

I believe it to be a butterfly.
Moths have feathery antenna and typically come out at night.
Antenna look smooth from my vantage point.

Butterflies usually sit with them wings closed above them and moths normally hold theirs in the way the one in your photograph does. I think it may be Asura bipars as the pattern isn't the same as Asura lydia.
