shrub or bush with yellow and orange ruffled flowers

    I came across the flowering shrub last weekend in Charleston, I loved it and figured maybe it would grow in my NC garden...but can't figure out what it is! Thanks!

    Your lovely flowers are Gloriosa lilies Joanchris2000 also known as Tiger's claw. They are the national flower of Zimbabwe.

    i don't think the entire bush is one plant. i know this lily is a climber... and some of the leaves don't really look like gloriosa leaves. so maybe the vines climbed onto something else.
    i think so!

    this lily... doesn't grow into a BUSH. it comes out of a bulb, corm...etc :)

    at least where i come from we have to hibernate it, let it die to the ground and replant it next spring.

    You're right Tom it is a climber and is growing through the other plants. Loooks really good though where it is. :-D
