This is another of my favorite combinations: Orange tiger lillies growing in front of blue hydrangea. I like the hot orange with the cool blue.

A few others...

Echinachea pupurea, Monarda Bee Balm... and my favorite Shasta Daisy...

I believe I may have gotten carried away with pics... sorry.

I'm not a great lover of hydrangeas but I really like the colour of your one especially with the hot orange of the lilies in the foregrowund. Stew Face 2

We can never have too many pictures, when they are as gorgeous as these. So don't apologize!

Thanks for the nice comments. It is so fun to show flowers to people who really appreciate them, isn't it?

I wonder why you havent' had luck with hydrangea Stratsmom? Are they tempermental? I don't do anything special for mine. Nor does my neighbor. When he first moved here a few years ago, he was about to chop up his hydrangea bushes because he didn't know what he had -- they looked awful, practically killed off by vines and stuff. We pulled all the vines off and trimmed them up and they recovered and look great again. He has the best in the neighborhood after all that neglect. Maybe you are too nice to them, Stratsmom? I water mind if it looks wilty...

How nice to see some of the flowers in your garden. Those colourful beauties put me in a good mood.

I love orange....I have a lot of the ditch lilys too. We call them that here..in fact someone sent me some from another area and they are exactly like what I had..just a different name for a different area I guess. Anyway I love them and I have them all over the place.
