Oh, oh. Sad

Our 2 year old lime green maple tree is showing some signs of stress. The leaves are fading out to a whitish colour and I have no idea why. One guess is too much sun but I thought they liked being in full sun.

Has anyone had a tree do this before?

Most maples prefer a bit of shade. The easy test is to look at the leaves that are not in full sun. If they are a happy green then you know....
