I have a very lengthy gravel driveway in a rural location. The location is Eastern Washington where the summer climate is mostly hot and dry and the winter is frigid and snowy.

My problem is weeds in the driveway. Last summer we spread several inches of crushed, sifted gravel over the drive in an attempt to stop the weeds. This has not worked.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on how to keep a gravel driveway weed-free?

Many thanks,
Alfe

Yes I do!! You have to put down two or three layers of weed supressing fabric before laying down your gravel. If you can't get a hold of any then you can put down thick, black plastic sacks instead. If the weeds can't get light then they can't grow - it certainly works for me in my front garden so good luck. Very Happy
