I managed to photograph a hummingbird while sitting on the front deck this evening. This ruby-throated one has been hanging around for a while and I finally managed to capture a shot. I am so fascinated by these little critters!

Here are a few more shots captured this evening. The hummers are kind of having a war over this feeder. The ruby throated one perches on my garden arch and watches this feeder lest another hummer should dare to approach! Laughing

Yes, that hummer is serious about that feeder. He hovers around in the air near the feeder daring any other to approach!

I have that exact same feeder, seems to work very well. And like you, I also do not add the red color to my sugar water, I think it is better for them.
