I have been reading about the healing properties and nutritional value of chickweed and would like to dry some.
I think I know what weed it is but I want to be absolutely sure. I looked online for photos and found some but they were not close up enough to make me feel secure in comparing it to what I have growing. Also there is nothing to scale it to. I have read that the leaves are small, but how small?

I am asking if some of you photographers could please take a clear close up photo of chickweed so I can print it and compare it to what I have.
I would need a very close up shot.

The plant I am thinking it is here is low, spreading, very easy to pull up and a lighter green than the grass in my lawn and the nearby empty lot and fields.
I am in Indianapolis Indiana if there is different varieties or plants with the same common names.

Thank you Eileen. Very Happy

There isn't anything poisonous that looks like it is there?
Am I right about it being a lighter green than grass and easy to pull up?

Does it have any kind of smell to it that can be described?

Yes it's lighter than the grass around it and no there is nothing quite the same that I know of. It is certainly very easy to pull up. It has a sort of erm.... fresh, faintly salady smell (sorry but it's actually quite hard to describe just how it smells) and tastes lovely in a mixed salad dish!! Very Happy
