I have a beautiful Crocosima blooming. Does anyone know if it MUST be brought in for the winter, or is leaving it in the ground ok? It is the second year I've had it, & only the first time it has bloomed. There is also now #2 coming up.
We are in zone 6

I live in Scotland GraciLu and we we get some really hard frosts here. Last years winter temperatures dropped to -10 degreesC and my crocosmia stay in the ground all year round. They have grown well for me for many years now and will be flowering again in the next few weeks - so I'd say let them stay where they are.

I just added Crocosmia to my gardens this year and the tag said zone 5. I was planning on leaving mine in the ground this winter as I had it at the old house and it always came back,

My Crocosmia have been in the ground for around 6 years now without a problem. I am in zone 5b.

I'm in zone 6 and had the same crocosmia as Canadian Chelsea. It overwintered her with no trouble. Actually, it seemed to dislike our summers more than our winters. It's foliage never looked as clean as in Canadian Chelsea's photo. It always seem to have septoria leaf spot, or something of the sort.
