Someone on one of the sites identified this plant but I lost the name of it. On another site they say it is a coreopsis but I know and have them and this is not a coreopsis..does anyone have this plant and know what it is?

Mine is in a compact, round, full shape...I could not see the flowers close enough but the shape was a lot looser...I don't think so...but it could be..Mine has always been as round as it is now...........thank you...

Most of the Golden Marguerite daisys are compact mounds like yours, I think the one in that picture might be a slightly different cultivar or something. Do some Google searches for the same flower and see if you can find yours.

On another site they say it is either a Dahlberg daisy, golden fleece or a New england aster...maybe I will never be positive. My asters are not even blooming here until fall so I am pretty sure it isn't that..

Dahlberg Daisy, that's the name I was trying to remember. I do think that might be it. It is in the Aster family but it's Genus and the Fall Aster Genus are different. The name New England Aster probably comes from the fact that the flower reminded someone of an Aster and it was growing in New England...that's one of the ways plants get their assorted common names.

    Dahlberg Daisy.. Thymophylla tenuiloba
    Family: Asteraceae
    Genus: Thymophylla
    Species: tenuiloba

    Fall Aster... Symphyotrichum oblongifolium
    Family: Asteraceae
    Genus: Symphyotrichum
    Species: oblongifolium
