If you have an unlimited supply of leaves/stump grindings/wood shavings, and the opportunity to chose from the leftover fruits and vegetables from a 'ranch market', what would make a more nutrient compost?

The stuff that grows on trees?
The stuff that grows on bushes?
Or the stuff that grows underground?

And if you're fortunate enough to know why, PLEASE explain.

I'm thinking that the fruits that grow on trees have more nutrients because the roots go much deeper into the soil.
