This is Josey, the new member of our now 3-dog family. We got her through the Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin (GRROW), where her mother was rescued from a puppy mill. She's a Golden Doodle...we've never had any interest in poodles, but after talking to several folks who own them I told GRROW that we'd take her. And I'm glad I did!

It's been 8+ years since we've had a puppy in this house, but I have to say she's training very quickly. Now if only I could get my two old boys (a Newfoundland and a Golden Retriever) to give her the time of day.

I'd highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a dog to go through your local rescue organizations. We learned that there are over 2000 Golden Retrievers in Wisconsin alone that are in need of adoption. It was a great experience for us, and when the time comes, we'll definitely adopt and/or foster another dog from a rescue organization.

Oh... my goodness. How cute can one puppy be??? How old is she? It makes me want a puppy too.... I am supporter of the Rescue groups too -- best way to go. Have fun with her! What does she think of the two old boys?

I firmly believe in rescue societies for adding to your furry family and I think you've struck gold with that adorable pup of yours. Does she have a name yet? She looks so soft and cuddly that I want to reach into my computer and give her a hug. Stew Face 2

You did a great thing by adopting her kaseylib, at least Josey got her forever home, I hope the rest are as lucky.

It is so sad to see Golden Doodles in rescue groups already. I do not believe in designer dogs, there's enough dogs being abused and neglected now. All of my dogs are rescues.

My brother has a rescue labradoodle also. Great dog. Both of our Dobies are rescues. Great job! You got a lovely gal and she looks like quite the personality. Razz Babies are such fun. Wink

Josey is soooo cute. I would love to pet and squeeze her. Poodles are so smart and I bet she got lots of poodle genes. She has such a sweet face. Razz

Oh kaseylib Josey is adoreable. Such a little cutie. I remember when Busby came into our house our older dog Bobbie took a little while to accept him but once he did they got on really well, apart from the odd scrap as Busby grew and tried to take liberties Smile

She sure is a cutie. Our Chance came from a box outside of a K-Mart store just before Christmas one year.
