Most varieties of pumpkins require 110-140 frost free days in the growing season. That also depends on your climate and number of daylight hours you have during the summer.
Find out which variety you want and that will grow in your time frame.

Plant as soon as your soil is warm after your average last frost date. (+60F)

For me here in SE-OH USA that would be May 15.
