There are a few butterflies and moths that visit the garden, this is one of them.

What a lovely thing the Satyr butterfly is with its 'jungle' type markings. Very Happy

Hello Kildale,

I love butterflies! When I saw this one i had to do some major research to find it. I couldn't even find it until I went through all the various Satyr Butterflies (there are lots!) here...
http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/search?searchbox=satyr
And when I went through the list, I believe it's this specific species of Satyr...
http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=1756
Too bad we don't get them near here in Nebraska...they are lovely! Very Happy

Very neat. It looks like something the children could have cut out and painted, with those uneven edges. Very Happy
