Hi, my name is Mims and I'm 21, I live in London, UK. Recognising that in this economic climate it will be a long time until I can afford my own place, I've realised that I need to make the most of my bedroom.

It's a lovely room with a bay window, I'm happy with the main pieces of furniture in my room, as you will see from the pictures these include my bed, bookcase, wardrobe, dressing table, mirror and inbuilt wardrobe and coffee table/desk.I'd like to keep them.

I need your help in the best way to arrange this furniture so that I get the maximum space in my room, I'd also appreciate any tips on how to put my own personal touches on it.

The pictures go from the view through the door then clockwise around the room.

Thank you, please feel free to suggest anything, I'm very open minded!

I think you might need to get one of those storage benches, with boxes underneath, which you could put below the bay window, it would make that area of your room more nice and tidy:-)

Looking at your images I think you got a lot of "personal touch" but photos of friends and family etc always work I think. Smile

Good luck! Smile

I love the colors and storage solutions that you have. The butterfly/dragonfly are gorgeous together. Very Happy

That baywindow is perfect. I agree that storage in your baywindow in the form of ottomans/benches might be a good idea. (I bought 2 small storage ottomans that we keep our shoes in-so you can tell I am partial to them Wink ) Ottomans give you seating for friends and guests. Is there room for a small chair for reading/company to go with an ottoman?

I might exchange the placement of the CD/bookcase with the bigger bookcase. I like the way you put the dresser in the deeper area.

Looks like you have more room under your bed for one of the roll-away storage bins. I use one for seasonal clothing and purses. What do you think? Is there room? Have fun with whatever you decide Stew Face 2
