It's hard to get a photo of, but he's pretty easy to describe. He's thin, pale green and slim. Only seems to have legs at the front near his head end, and at the bottom end. When he moves, he arches up, then goes back down, doesn't move like the cabbage whites do. He flicks his head abut when he's sat still too. I'm pretty scared to touch it and move it to be honest. I don't want it to harm any of my cabbage whites. Is it parasited maybe?? Seems quite aggressive

Hi,
without a photo or knowing where you saw the caterpillar it is hard to make an accurate guess.
Try this site and see if you can find it there.

It's in a tank heeheeheee!! I've probably brought the egg/caterpillar in on a cabbage leaf.
I'll try and get a photo, but I seem to have lost it in the tank now.

Your caterpillar sounds like a Cabbage Looper from your description.
