good day,
i have a huge bottle gourd plant side by side with Ridged Gourd gigantic plants.the bottle gourd is 3 month old but it does not producing full size fruit. despite my carful hand pollination the fruit could not be set. infact the little gourd get some spots wich are indeed scratches marks and the juice came out of this dried up and leve this mark.
i wonder if this is a disease or some other indication. on my end watering, fertyilizing and soil construction is ok bur the result is discouraging. by the way ridged gourd producing apprpriate fruit.see the images

Have you been fertilizing the plant weekly? Also Epsom salt will help with the magnesium level and help the fruit stay on as well as the flowers.

i only used a year old manure but last year in my nieghbourhod one person has got about 40 kg of bottle gourd out of three plants. i know he also used manure alone.
