I love the sale table this time of year except for the fact that the most of the plants on there have lost their name tags by this time of year....but for $2-$3 I'm not going to pass them by.
During the excessive heat of last month the poor baby just sat there, but this month it has been not nearly that hot and it has started growing and blooming like crazy. She stands about 10" tall and the flowers are roughly 1" across, little trumpet shapes.

Oh, I think you are right. Thanks muchly.
If I remember right that plant was marked down to 50 cents and knowing someone on GS would be able to ID it for me, I just couldn't let it get thrown in the trash. ;)

After more searching I have pinned mine down to Calylophus berlandieri Spach it is a subspecies of the Calylophus drummondianus and has squared off petals instead of the more rounded ones.

I'm glad you're a plant rescuer too, Toni. I love the crinkly petals on those flowers.
