He's extremely handsome.
Thanks for grabbing those shots for us.
It's really a pleasure to be able to see these kinds of pictures.

Thank you for your replys...I haven't seen much of him lately with being busy in the flower gardens...this one is the medium sized hawk...the large one hasn't been around much...I think with summer they have so many birds to pick from and meals are easier to come by than in the winter.

Now, those fotos really ARE beauties. Is this bied becomming less shy? I think that these are perhaps the best ones that you have taken of this bird.

Sjoerd....Well thank you very much, it is a different camera from last winter. I got this camera for my birthday last March so I am not sure if I had him visit since then...I grabbed my camera and opened the screen door and walked out and he never moved...he did move his head to look for a meal.....I just mean I did not bother him at all. After he flew from the swing he went into the pergola on the ground and I chased him away...I didn't want him to get any of my yellow gold finches...

thank you for your kind words...I wish I could travel and get more things to photograph....most of my photos come right out of my backyard.

The Cooper's Hawk dove down in the yard yesterday when I was looking out into the yard....He went right to a small spruce tree and was looking for his meal...I tried to get a picture but this one was more scared of me and flew to the neighbors roof when I went out and I don't shoot at birds directly on others property...I wouldn't want them thinking I was snooping...
