Usually I just impulse buy at one of the "big box" stores from their end of season fall bulbs sales. This year I am actually thinking and planning what I might add to my garden beds.
I am just wondering what other gardeners have found to be quality nurseries to buy from and some of their favorite bulbs. I am trying to expand my horizons and what better than something new for the garden from others who love gardening 
Would love to hear what others really like or had great success with.

There aren't very many of the fall planted bulbs that will grow and bloom down here....our winters are not cold enough.
I will be ordering more Glads and Lilies tho for spring planting.

I'm thinking of Grecian Windflowers and grape hyacinths. The hyacinths don't bloom very long but I love that blue in the spring.

I guess it's pretty basic but I just love daffodils and hyacinths. A mass planting of daffodils is so beautiful to me and the fragrance of hyacinths is so wonderful. I usually buy the bulbs from a local nursery and they do well.

Im going to try bulbs this fall. Moms already bought iris', lilies (all kinds), caladums, crodus (tho I think its too hot here but Ill still try them), I cant remember what else.
I want to fill in the blank spots and the front of the large garden up front with bulbs. Ill have to see what works here tho.

Toni and Stillpinkie I forget that fall planting is totally different in the south. I am going to be ordering one new pink lily. I can plant some of the hardier spring bulbs in the fall.
TMholding the Grecian Windflowers sound lovely. That is a great idea. I like the grape hyacinths too.  They are so small and perfect.
TammyD daffadils are wonderful aren't they. I'm afraid I give them priority as a favorite. The wood hyacinths are so naturalized in my yard I forget about the sweet smell of the garden variety. Thanks for the memory jog, I should find a place for them in a spring bed.
Now do you think I can find these all on sale

Until today, I wasn't thinking much about bulbs. But today I finished dividing a bed of iris -- gave away about a third... replanted the rest after doubling the bed size! Left some room to tuck in some early Spring bulbs... so what a great reason to shop for some neat ones. I believe I will check out a Grecian windflower -- it sounds beautiful.
