Stupidly I decided to clean my keyboard without first switching off my computer. Embarassed Now I've lost all the tabs at the top of my pages ( Google, My web search etc.) I don't know which button I pressed so don't have a clue which one would bring them back. Embarassed Embarassed Can anyone help me out please?

I promise to switch the computer off next time I feel inclined to clean anything!!

Do you still have the bar with File, Edit and so forth? I don't know what it says in English, but on my third button, "Show", there's an option to show tool bars.

PHEW!!!!! Everything is back again!! Ian came home and pressed F11 and like magic it was all restored. I just didn't want to 'fiddle' around and make things any worse. Embarassed

Thank goodness for those computer techs. Glad it wasn't permanent, Eileen.

Sounds like you entered "Full Screen" mode in Firefox Eils. It's actually quite useful. You can enter Full Screen mode and then move your mouse to the top of the screen to get the tabs back.

Yes, F11 turns on and off full-screen mode in both IE and Firefox. Very useful if you want to look at maps and pictures as big as possible Smile

But I know the feeling when you think you are really stuck and don't know what to do
