I have a pumpkin that has started turning orange. It is still on the vine. Should I leave it or cut it off? Since it has started turning I think it must be as big as it's going to get. Right?? moderator's note: added a more descriptive title to topic To hide these ads please register / sign in

You need to leave it on as long as possible,it will stop changing color once it is picked. I've already picked a few pumpkins. If they are ready you wont need to cut them off the vine...they will fall off or come off with a gentle tug.
