I've been too busy to get out there, but I should have some seeds by now. These bloomed very early. Looks like I'll also have white, pink, and yellow. It will be a few days before I can get to it, but I'll post when I've got them ready.

Hi there; I have the black ones too and they're great. Just wondering, after they are done blooming, should I cut the stalks down to the ground or leave them until fall? HELP!!

If you want them to reseed, just leave them until spring. I actually grab some seeds and plant them in the fall so they bloom the next year, and then cut them to the ground once they get too ugly.
If you don't want them to reseed, cut them to the ground before they go to seed.

You have to leave the stalks so they will reseed for next year. If you cut the stalks right after they bloom, no seeds means no plants next year. Besides that the sparrows love to eat them too, I find little ones hopping from stem to stem on my dwarf ones having a good feast.
