She bloomed finally. Not very big compared to some Clematis and I really figured something named Snow Queen would be white but she is really pretty none the less.

She's adorable, no matter what colour she is. Is she pink with a blueish tinge around the edges?

Sort of a light mauve(pinky purple)tint, with deep red almost maroon anthers.

I just went our to measure her, she is just under 3 inches (7.5 cm) across.
I really hope more will show up, this poor plant has been thru so much in the three years I have had her.

Very pretty Toni, and the name makes sense to me. When we have a lot of snow it looks blue in certain lights. I guess you wouldn't know about that though, living in Texas Wink

When it snows down here the only thing about it that has a hint of purplish blue to it is Randy Rolling Eyes

She is pretty indeed. A Snow Queen draped in a purple robe.

I like this queen! I like delicate pastels in clematises. This Snow Queen of yours is a very pretty thing.
Do you know how tall they can grow?

From the information on the tag it came with, it should get between 6-10 feet tall and 3-6 feet wide.
The blooms in spring are supposed to be 6-7 inches across. I hope this one is small only because it is a late season blossom, really large ones next spring would be great.
