Certain things happening in my garden tell me that summer is almost over
The Helenium Blooming
The Rudbeckia blooming - see the tiny frog?
I picked 7 more pumpkins the other day making my total picked so far 12. I think the biggest one on the left will be my Pie Pumpkin entry for the fall fair
The Hosta Plantaginea starting to bloom
This Potentilla has been blooming since mid June!
The Russian Sage starting
2 of my garden "thugs" battling each other
The Duchess of Edinburg has made another appearance
I forgot I had this Fuchsia
A delicate Cosmo bloom
I need 3 of these for a fair entry...hmmm, will they last that long??

Netty your garden is beautiful as usual. I really like the Helenium blooms and clematis. What a bounty in pumpkins! Wonderful.

I'm always happy to see that Netty has posted some pics. LOVE that fuchsia, my goodness, that color combo is shocking! Can't resist the hellenium.... but the frog pic is my absolute favorite.

Man, if I could have end of season bloom like that I would think I had died and gone to paradise. But I am writing down some of your plant names so maybe I can have color like that next year.
Your choice for the Pie Pumpkin entry is perfect, beautiful shape and color on that one. The other ones are really interesting too, do you use them for baking or decorations?
I wish my Cosmos would finally bloom, they are really tall and some are breaking from their weight but no sign of buds yet

Beautiful pictures Netty. My yard isn't quite as colorful because of a drought at the end of summer. I love that last hurrah before the snow flies!!!

Toni, the reason I grow pumpkins is because my son LOVES pumpkin pie, so that is what these pumpkins will become. I only planted 1 pumpkin plant in the garden and I haven't picked anything from that plant yet. The 12 I have picked are from volunteers that popped up in my compost!
Kaseylib, how dare you say that "S" word already!!!

More nice fotos from your garden, Netty. I liked the Battling Beauties. That little friggie is a cute one, isn't he...and so tiny.
The Heleniums and Zinnias really are eye-catchers.
This was such a good posting, Netty I thoroughly enjoyed seeing what all was blooming there.

Aaaw, you've got lovely colour! And adorable gardening companions too. Autumn has arrived here, no two-ways about it, and there's hardly anything left outside. I'm so glad I can enjoy your blooms. Good luck with the fair.
