I've been re-designing the kitchen recently. I'm torn though between an intergrated washing machine or a free standing machine. Are there any disadvantages to having a intergrated?

I had to look up integrated washing machine, new name for built-in apparently. I wasn't aware that washing machines could be built-in....learn something new everyday.
I am interested in hearing the pros and cons of this too, just out of curiosity.

well, the most obvious con i can think for integrated washing machine (or built-in) is that you can't relocate it as easily as a free standing one.
