I am going to let the seed pods dry, so I will have plenty if you want some.

I think it might be an Alstroemeria/Peruvian lily- what do you think?

Unless it is a different form of Alstroemeria. The flower is an elongated bell shape, but stands up. The foliage is low to the ground and a long leafless stalks shoots up with the cluster of blooms. Oh well, it is pretty anyway, even if I don't know the name.

I'm back again. It's definately an Alstroemeria psittacina!!! I e.mailed three different gardening chums and they all came up with the same answer.
Here's some photographs from two of them. The third pic I found on the net once I knew the correct name.
It's the true form of this plant from which all the hybrids are bred. (I found a hybrid when I looked on the net.) Also known as The Lily of the Incas.
**Notice the exact same seed heads as yours in piccie number two.**

Thanks Eileen and Toni for searching for me. I will let whoever is interested know when the seedpods dry. It does seem like it may tend to be invasive, but I have lots of room for it so it doesn't matter.
