For all of you who are missing your hummingbirds, I know where they are now. They are on my front porch, in my front yard, in my back yard and generally right in my face demanding I fill the hummingbird feeders. I tried to get a picture but with them all flying all over the place all I get is a blur. There must be close to 50 or 60 out there. I fill those feeders once a day. Each one holds about five cups of liquid.
The morning glories still have flowers, the bindweed is all over the place, the Rose of Sharon is blooming, the crepe myrtle is blooming. I don't know what Glenda has over there but with all the rain she probably has things blooming, too. She isn't home yet. She is still with her cousin Fran.
Everytime we go out the front door we get bombarded with hummingbirds chittering right in our face. So, if anyone would like some of these hummingbirds I will give them your address or have them pm you for directions.

Laughing The hummingbirds know a good thing when they see one, and obviously you're a good thing for them, Dooley.

Haha! I LOVE imagining you and DR being bombarded by hungry hummingbirds! They all say YAY when they see you coming!

You should have seen me trying to refill those hummingbird feeders today. The refilling part was about the easiest part of it. We have a filter on our kitchen faucet so I run the filtered water into the big measuring cup and then, I had to go out for a short meeting. I was busy making supper when I got back so they were all flying up and down the porch and around every where. When I took the ladder out to get the feeders I had all kinds of help. One hung on and I thought he'd come inside with me. Do you know, they know which window is over the sink. They kept chittering at me to hurry up. When I went back outside with the feeders and tried to hang them there were a dozen or more trying to get to it before I got the first one up. But, it kept them occupied while I hung the other one. Only one little bird followed me with the second feeder and he was already eating before I let go of it. When I folded the ladder and headed back inside, he was still the only one at the second feeder but the first one was surrounded by the horde. I would guess if I went and looked the first one might be empty by now.
I will make a list and put it on the post by the feeders. I hope the hummingbirds will be able to read it.

That is really an amazing story Dooley! I wonder if you could snap a pic of it? Even if it would be a blur, as you said, it would be neat to see. I am pretty unfamiliar with hummingbirds -- they sound charming.
