Royal Poinciana tree bloomed this year . It will hold for 4-8 weeks. Creating a high umbrella look. It took 4 years to bloom Shocked . It has been threw a lot in the last 2 years with 3 hurricanes. Thought at one time it was going to die. I think that's why it took so long. Here is one of the flowers that came off.

You have one too?? Well, Why didnt you say something!!!! I have one that Im growing from seed. Did you grow yours from seed? I would LOVE to see a pic of the tree!!!

Such big blooms! I cant wait!

I would love to see the entire tree at three years old how tall is it .Pinkiered has me really wanting one bad,That bloom is so big and oh so beautiful.

I was going to take a pic of the tree and it started to rain. The flower has rain drops on it if u look closely. After building the house 5 years ago I just planted everything I saw and loved and never took names. I'm learning from this site tho. It's a lot of fun too.
