Got some more stuff put away for the upcoming winter season. Got the last water barrel emptied and cleaned and put away. Got the wind chimes put away too. There were 2 little froggies in the barrel when I emptied it. So they will have to go hibernate somewhere. Not much else left to do as far as the yard goes. Need to put the outdoor furniture away yet but that will be more towards the end of the month.

I have gotten a start moving flowers into new homes foe next year. I'm still not finished. I have to move more sedums, move my mini rose bush. winterize my pond. Can't do anything with the vege greenhouse yet as we still have toms turning. Looks like I'll still be busy thru Oct getting things taken care of.

I'm feeling rather overwhelmed by all I still have to do. I took two carloads of stuff to Goodwill on Saturday so that cleared room in the garage. Now I have room to move things in for the winter. Still trying to decide whether to expand a couple of beds this year or wait till Spring.

We are always rushed this time of year. No doubt about it, winter is coming. So much work to do so the rabbits don't help themselves to everything.. I had a small frog in one planter, I hope he went into the ground already..It sounds like you won't have that much to do yet...Our patio furniture is put away but the snow still gets at it..the beauty of wrought iron...

Not too much left to do here. A few shrubs that need cutting back before the frosts hit and the pond to give a final clean and that's about it. My tender plants are already in the greenhouse and the winter refuges for all the small animals and amphibians are in place. I've already put down most of the bark chippings to help keep plants roots nice and warm through winter. Very Happy

All I have left to do is drain the garden hose and put it away, turn off the water to the outside faucet and put the snowblower on the tractor.

dr put our hoses away but I still have plants to move. Where to move them? I don't know. I've been busy inside but will have to take some days to get it figured out before the cold is here to stay. It's still 90 one day and 60 the next here but one of these days it will be 60 one day and 40 the next so I guess maybe it's time to at least think about it. dooley

middle of Oct. now and I'm almost done. Capt reminded me as well we have to put away the hoses and turn off the outside water. I took down the fountain to my pond. So now just have a bag of allium bulbs to plant and I should be ready to wrap things up here.

Still is mild with rain,

Done my pots but still have to decide on what can stay in the boarder.

When we had roofers in I had to remove anything near the lounge back window on the path so the chimes had to come down.

My son brought the lion king chimes back from America this year so now they are in a place where I pass to go in the kitchen or bathroom so I hear them several times a day in winter without damage.

Man, you all up north sure have to do a lot of work for winter prep.

Pretty much all I have to do for winter is make sure there is space in the bloom house to move a few potted plants into if/when there is a cold spell. And those are usually several days apart so I am moving them in, then moving them back out into the sun.
