Good evening to you all'I have a couple of questions Does any one know about the pods on chinese ground orchid, I just recieved some they are still green so do I wait or will they dry out just sitting here, I opened up one of them and it looks like saw dust are they seeds or what do the seeds look like? I can't find out anywhere.



And can I bring in my coleus and caladiums in the house for winter?

Let the pod dry out. Actually there is some info I found that says the Chinese Ground Orchid seeds will either be sterile or the plants will not come true from seed.

Margie I can't think of any reason to stop you taking your coleus and caladiums into the house to overwinter them. I do this with quite a few of my more tender plants to save them being killed off by frosts. Stew Face 2

I'm from Michigan. Check out my 'new plant room' http://www.gardenstew.com/about16957.html
I love bringing in my plants in the winter. I'll also be bringing in some baby small butterfly plants to over winter then planting them next spring. Coleus are just so easy to make new plants, I can't bare just throwing them away. I make new plants from geraniums too. So in answer to your original question 'yes' you'll be able to bring in your plants to over winter. Hope this has helped.
