Linking to my earlier thread, here are a few snaps from our holiday in North Devon.

These pictures of cobbled streets were taken at a cliff side town called Clovelly. Donkeys are used to transport things around the village, pulling sleds along. Cars cannot access the village at all, so shopping, rubbish, and in the past, even the dead, have to move around the village on wooden sledges.

These were taken at a Gnome reserve, and yes, wearing the daft hats was compulsory.

Oh I liked these, EJ!
That village, Clovelly is just my kind of place.
Seeing that VW camper sure brings back memories to me. I have had several...let's see now...three, I believe it was. A brown one, a green one and an orange one.
Ah yes, the memories---many good, some bad and a couple that were almost terrifying.

Oh, these make me want to go on vacation somewhere charming and quaint an overseas -- like Clovelly... looks like an interesting place with lots of history too.

We atill have one of those old red telephone boxes in our village square EJ. I think they look so much better than the newer modern ones.
Love the cobbled streets but wouldn't want to walk on them when they were icy or wet - especially on those hills.
It's so lovely to see your mum looking so well and enjoying her holiday with you all.
The expressions on the childrens' faces carving those pumpkins shows how much concentration went into their making. The results are great!!
I always hankered after one of those camper vans (wanted a flowered overed one in the sixties - who didn't? ) but never did get one.
It's good to see their are still a few friendly gnomes around down south.
