Here is one of my totems in the garden. It is freestanding, not on a pole. The shrub in back is an American Beautyberry Bush. A moonflower vine is growing over the stump behind the totem and impatiens. I thought it was a good way to hide the stump.

Thanks Dooley, the moonflower vine is all the way to the top of the bush, and hanging out. Those buggers grow fast.

Sharon that is really beautiful!! What is the totem made from? It really looks wonderful with the impatiens.

The totem is made of various glass pieces, vases, saucers, bowls, the top piece is a tealight holder I got for 75% off after Valentines. I siliconed a large plate to the bottom for stability. The large plate is covered with soil. Make sure you put all the pieces upside down, like sauces, bowls, etc, so they do not hold water. I use GE Silicone II to put them together. If you want to display one on a pipe, use a bud vase, upside down at the bottom, this slips over the pipe, in order to get a snug fit I wrap packaging tape around the pipe where the neck of the vase would fit. Any other question, just ask!!!!
