Someone had thrown this out in the woods behind our house. I brought it in the house into my plant room, cut off all the dead stems and began watering and neutering. Here's how she's growing so far-pretty good I'd say.

Red Geranium ( photo / image / picture from petunia's Garden )
I should have taken a before picture because after I cut all the dead away there's was hardly anything left. And now I have so much new growth-Its exciting to see plants come alive. I can't wait till I have some buds turn into FLOWERS. Yipeeee Stew Face 1

WOW Petunia you certainly have pleny of healthy looking new growth there haven't you? You did really well when you rescued it from the woods and it looks as though you're going to have a real show-stopper there when it flowers. Well done!! Very Happy

That lucky geranium is glad you have a soft spot
for discarded plants. I know it will reward you
with many years of beautiful blooms!

There was a marker in the pot when I brought it home--it should be a red Geranium.

How cool is that?? I LOVE GERANIUMS!!! Give them a sunny window this winter and they will love you for it!
I brought most of mine in to the office for the winter.
We have really deep window sills with south facing windows and the geraniums thrive Razz I wonder how long you could keep a geranium??? I've kept one of mine going (or growing) for about 8 years Razz The trick I've learned is to let them dry out really good before watering. Did you find any other cool plants out in the woods?

Yes I did also get 3 bushes, I beleive they call em Boxwood bushes. I've got to dig holes this weekend and get them in before any snow comes our way. I also picked up 2 -what I thought was thyme-BUT NOT. Its Silver Queen (fortunei) Luckily I already have them where I want them. ?To throw away so much, I don't understand. My guess is maybe someone alse is planning something else in their yard.

Geraniums are great at bouncing back don't they Petunia. Looks like you have saved that one. Look forward to seeing it when it blooms. Good luck with it.
