Marvelous foto's, Daisy. Really. The one of the icicles is inspired.

No after I had finished bringing all the wheelbarrows that I had paid for, I just spread it evenly on top of the snow and min-tilled it a bit in the spring...voilĂ !
I also kept some in plastic bags to partially replace the soil in the greenhouse and to have extra...for whatever.

Looking at all of these pics from places far away from here, I think I am getting wanderlust! Frank, is that Malmo in your pics? Droopy, your snow actually looks FUN! Bunkie, that is alot of snow. Wow.

Here's what we did with our first snow of the season

first snowman of 2009 ( photo / image / picture from petunia's Garden )

We received atleast 8inches and they say we probably have another 4-8inches of snow coming in over night. Many schools were off today.
here's another pict of the woods behind us covered in snow.

first snow fall ( photo / image / picture from petunia's Garden )
Enjoy!

Great snow photos....we just got 14.2 inches of it yesterday in Wisconsin. Some areas west of us got 16-18 inches. It was wet and heavy...only nice to look at, not lift.

The forecast here in southern Virginia is for more snow than we have had in years. It started around 2 this afternoon(Friday) and is expected to continue through Saturday evening with possible totals of 8-12 inches. I know this is nothing for some areas, but for us that's like a blizzard! I managed to get a few shots this afternoon when I got home from work. The boss let us leave early. Shocked Now at almost 10 tonight I have to push the snow away with the door to get it open! Should be enough to build a snowman tomorrow! The temps are supposed to stay cold so maybe we will manage a WHITE CHRISTMAS this year!

I feel like a child! I just snapped a couple of photos of the snow falling here tonight. You can see the flakes.
