Got another visitor to the garden, but it appears they like the place so much - they've moved in !

Although the stairs at the washing green were meant for walking on, it seems a hedgehog has decided to take up residence underneath, even 'cutting' the grass outside the entrance, using the grass to build up the inside for a den or such.

More animals and birds visit my garden than people !

C.J.

Ah hedgehogs now we're talking! Very amusing creatures, one of my favourites. I have a lingering memory of my first real sighting of a hedgehog. My friend's father found one pottering around the place and must not have been too fond of them because he scooped it up with a shovel and hurled it far and high into the air. I don't know if it survived Sad That was a nasty thing to do.

I hope you can get a photo C.J Wink

That really was a horrible thing to do to the poor little hedgehog!!! I hate for someone to do something to a poor animal in my presence!! It makes me soooo upset for days!!! Wonder how he would have felt if he was hurled in the air?

Denee here's a couple of hedgehog piccies for you. Really cute little guys and a great benifit to any garden as they eat slugs and snails among other things. Very Happy

We don't have them around here, but I have read that they like to eat slugs, in which case I wish we did! I have raccoons and possums, but I'd rather have a slug-eater.
