|
Has anyone heard of this book? You all done such a wonderful job on Daisy Beans Christmas song that I thought you could help me find this old book. A little old lady friend has mentioned this book numerous times. She said she remembers her mother reading it to her so I'm thinking it is at least 70 years old. I've tried ebay and the internet but haven't had any success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have found one written by Lawrence and Marion Averill, published in 1953/1954
It's about a couple who retire to their ancestral home in Maine.
The Blue Hill, Maine library has a copy of that one.
http://www.catalog.bhpl.net/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=15768
Even the Library of Congress only has that one on record http://catalog.loc.gov/ just enter the name of the book in the search block.
I tried and tried but couldn't get the link to fully copy/paste to make a short cut to the page for that book

Thank you for looking She said it's about a little girl who eats pie for breakfast with her grandpa. She must not be remembering the entire title or the proper title.

I did find several referrences to eating pie for breakfast being a New England tradition. And I found this blog....

Maybe you could contact the lady and see if she knows of the book.
