I got a healthy jade plant (thumb print sized/shaped leaves)a while ago and have been keeping it in mostly indirect sunlight, up high on a book case. I water it when the soil feels dry. The new growth branches are getting thinner (lack of sunlight??) and some of the leaves are now turning white, drying out and falling off. This is happening with increasing frequency. Moving the plant to more direct sunlight did not seem to work. Please help! Any tips or advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Check out the information on the same problem you seem to have http://www.gardenstew.com/about17114.html Usually too much water is the problem. Do you feel the top of the soil or stick your finger down into the soil to about the first knuckle? In winter they don't need to be watered very often at all, just when the leaves start to droop.
At times when a leaf dried up and dropped off my jade it was because a whole new branch was ready to emerge from the same area.
