I want to put my location on the map, but the first time I tried, it did not work. Now I can't seem to find the directions on how to do it. I guess I need some step by step instructions please? Thanks, Kay

Hi all,
So you've seen the cool member map and would like to be added to it. Well here is what to do:
1/ First go to http://maps.google.com/
2/ Find your location on the map there. Make sure you double click on you map location so you receive accurate coordinates.
3/ Now you see the 'Link to this page' link above the map to the right-hand side? You will need to copy this link. To copy the link in Internet Explorer right-click on the the link and choose 'Copy Shortcut' from the popup menu. To copy the link in Firefox right-click on the the link and choose 'Copy Link Location' from the popup menu.
4/ Send me the copied link by Private Message.
5/ I will add you to our map and send a Private Message back to tell you Very Happy
Should you have any questions you may ask them here Let's fill this map up!
// Frank

Did you send Frank the copied link in Step 4? If so, he will add you to the map then let you know you are there.

OK Thanks for these directions. I know I can find my location on the Google maps, but after that, I may have to do some figuring Like I've said, I am not very experienced on my laptop... Wish me luck! Kay

Click on the link enclosed in my first reponse, in Frank's post with the instructions you will see the words 'Private Message' is a link for sending him a PM.

Thank you again. Please forgive me for being kind of ignorant on this stuff. I hope you got my Google map location.

Hey, you should have been sitting next to me the first week or so that I was on this forum I was constantly asking my hubby or youngest daughter (both of whom are total computer geeks)=== how to do, what to do, please fix what I just messed up. You will get the hang of it, it just takes some practice.
The PM was sent to Frank, not me. Putting members on the map is something I don't know how to do
